Has anyone used it? I was thinking of using it to match my tank PH during WC's but am unsure if its really a good thing to use, are there any conflicting compatibility issues like using in planted tanks with ferts or with shrimp?

The most likely issue you will come across is that once the buffer is used up, the pH will go straight back to what it was before you added it and the fish will get "pH shock", which may be fatal.

A better method of lowering pH in the long term is the addition of bogwood, peat, etc, as these will continuously leach acid into the water.
