Ph Disaster

hi all had a really bad today i bought some co2 tablets to boost my plant growth but i have eneded up killing 90% of my fish it lowered the ph and has burnt and killed most of them...The ones that are left are looking burnt and not very well is there anything i can do now before i can go to my lcal fish shop for his advice..many thanks ste

What size tank is it?
how many CO2 tablets did you add?
How many litres/ gallons does 1 tablet dose?
pH before, and after tablet?
kH and gH test would be helpful if you have them.

my tank is 3x3x2 and the ph is allways bang on 7 and it dropped to 6..the tablets says add 2 tab for every 40ltr..

When CO2 is injected, it generally drops the pH by about 1, but usually no more.

How long was it after you added the tablets that the fish were affected?
And what species are affected?

i only added 2 tabs and i lost 4 moustash danios 3 scissor fish 2 catfish 1 clown loach 1 paroon shark and several other little catfish...i have a few ciclids which dont seem to bothered but i have a pair and the female is looking very ill

All those fish will be able to handle a pH of 6, and seen as you added only 2 tabs to such a large tank I am finding it hard to believe that they were the cause,

And if you didnt know paroon sharks get HUGE so best not to keep anymore of them.

its been going well over 6 months ive lost the odd one 0r two but nothing like this.i do plenty of water changes and im allways at the lfs asking advice if im not sure of anything. the tabs were the only thing that i have done differently.

Also when was your last fish death?
