Hi..

with a 53 gallon and KH 8 , Co2 running..

The PH is 7.2 and it can't drop down..

i've pressurized Co2 system, 1 bps

i can see the bubbles inside my reactor .. but for a reason the PH can't go down!!

can anyone explain that??

kamel im feelin your frustration mate! at the moment im settling for 7.5 to get it any lower i have to do 4 + BPS with no surface agetation and my fish dont like that! Im gonna re calibrate my ph monitor in the hope that im getting in an incorrect reading. Hope someone posts soon! George?, Moody?, Sam? anyone ???

Are you sure there's nothing in your tank that has calcium in it? Your substrate/sand or a rock maybe? I actually have coral grit in it and this acts as a buffer so my pH doesn't drop below 7, keeps it pretty much constant around 7-7.2.

I'm sure about my PH test.. i get a correct reading.

i've a black sand.. i don't have crushed coral or any thing in my substrate can rais the ph..

and when i change water.. the KH drop down.. but PH not!!

i started to think that my cylinder don't have Co2, it's full almost.. but i don't know why that happeing to me..

it wasn't happen before...

i read when you have a high KH the PH won't to drop down...

But KH 8 seem's not bad.. anyway i'm gonna to make more water changes to get a KH of 4 or 3..

to see what will happen...

ortherwise.. is there someway to test my cylinder if it have Co2 or not?

i mean CO2 or maybe air.???

cuz the regulator shows full
