Does anyone know if petsmart stores match their web price? So if an instore item was $9.99 and online it was $4.99 would they charge you $4.99 or $9.99 if you brought in a sheet saying what their online price is?

Yes they do, In Virginia. Call ahead first.

The other day I purchase emperor 280 fo my 37 gallon. Online 35.99 in petsmart 54.99.

They told me print the page, and bring it in, they honored the price.

I was told that they don't... I was showed a disclaimer by a member here on how the website is independent from the stores and how they don't do that. Hmm. :dunno:

My girlfriend showed me that same disclaimer when I was trying to get her to call. However, I called myself and they said yes. This was 2 fridays ago and they price matched my emperor 280.

So call ahead only thing they can say is no, but it works!

I also use the price matching at my local petsmart. It has saved me a lot of money. Just recently i bought a Rena Filstar XP3 for $100(online Price which was matched) instead of paying $180, talk about saving some money. Thats why i get everything there now.

I wouldn't have thought they would honor that. If you would have bought something off their website and saved only $5, it would cost you more to ship it probably :S

sorry, that's not what I meant. I meant you would end up paying more to buy it from them online if you happened to do that (only saving a few bucks then having to pay high shipping fees) so I would have thought most would not honor the Online prices. Trust me, i'm always out to save a buck

I will give it to petsmart.com b4 i tried price matching, thier shipping prices are not that bad. Some things still work out cheaper with shipping when compared to in store price. However, now whenever I go to Petsmart, I print up whatever, I am going for and hope for cheaper price
