What is the pH and GH (general hardness) of the water?
Is the aquarium heated?
Put a sign on the tank and next to the tank saying "DO NOT TOUCH OR CLEAN OR USE CLEANING PRODUCTS OR AEROSOLS ON OR NEAR THIS AQUARIUM".
I have seen lots of tanks in class rooms get Windexed to death by cleaning staff who think it's a good idea to wipe everything down with a window cleaner.
You should also get a plastic storage container (with a lid) and put fish nets, buckets, food, etc in that. And put a big sign on it saying "DO NOT TOUCH OR CLEAN OR USE CLEANING PRODUCTS ON OR NEAR THIS CONTAINER. AND DO NOT USE ANY OF THIS STUFF".
Get a permanent marker and write "FISH ONLY" on the buckets and storage container.
