Perfect Water For Giant Gourami

Is this the 130 gallon containing the parrots?

Are we talking osphronemus goramy? It'll need a larger tank to be comfortable IMO. They grow EXTREMELY fast.

Ammonia and nitrIte should be 0. NitrAte should be below 40ppm - prefferably below 20ppm. Water changes will help lower this. For osphronemus gouramies, pH is of little consequence. Just make sure it's stable - fluctuations are not appreciated by any fish.

What exactly do you mean by 'my water's not good right now'?

yes i have a osphronemus goramy
its not good right now cuz im still doing water changes to lower it down
ya i know it grows fast, i had my fish for like 3 months and it grew five times its size in that amount of time
sorry about the word shortening thing, its a habit

Habits can be broken ;)

What exactly are your water parameters at the moment?

Seeing as you realise how quickly the fish is going to out-grow its current tank, do you have plans to upgrade or are you going to return the fish to your local fish store?

i plan to upgrade when the time comes
well right now, like the nitrite is at 3, im still doing water changes so it goes down to zero
it takes a little bit of time but its all good
