Peppermint Bn Breeding Tank

Not sure if the eggs with tails survived the gravel clean, but maintenance had to be done sadly :(

Hungry little beasties!! They are chewing their way through a slab of zucchini in 24hours.

Om nom nom! Any chance of pics of them on the zucchini? c:

I've got to toss a new piece in today, so will grab pics later for you :)

Will have to update a pic for this tank.

I sold 10 pep juvies today.....making me enough to buy a new large female pep to add to the colony and 4 dwarf loaches, + money that will go towards the new tanks. There is another 20 or so growing out, these ones the money will all go towards the new tanks....i desparately need the 5ft to use as a BN growout tank, especially for the peps....they fund my tank adventures!

I am looking forward to adding some new blood into the colony, a nice breeding size female too! The boys will appreciate that i am sure lol

I have a new lot of eggs just hatched (i have one male that is hopeless at keeping the eggs in the cave lol, i bought him a smaller cave, will see how he goes with it), the eggs are in a net in front of the spraybar. i will move them to a larger net tomorrow.

I am going to make some floating containers to hold the younger fry in until they lose their eggsacks, then they will just be let loose in the tank, they can then access their parent faeces to get the correct bacteria going in their gut.

The new female has settled in nicely, and she was way bigger than i thought she was gonna be, she will be a nice partner to my Adonis (16cm+ male)

All the current 4cm+ peps have now sold....and wont be too long and i will need to "harvest" the goldie tank for the next batch.
