Hi I have 4 Peppered Corys and my biggest one has this strange white blister like spot. It doesn't look like white spot as it looks more growth like but it doesn't seem to be bothering him and the others don't have anything on them.

Its not the best of pictures but he doesn't stay still very long!

Its quite white/pus like in colour and looks like it sticks out a bit like a Zit on your face does.

Any idea what it is?

I would try a bacterial med.

Just did my readings:

Ammonia = 0
Nitrite = 0
Nitrate =0
P.H.7.4

There is no bulling in my tank and its only the 4 Peppered Cory in the 125 Litre tank (I did have a few fish with white spot but that is all over and 125 L tank was treated and the other fish are now in another tank)

If you can give me any help as george is my oldest Cory (4 months) and I don't really want to lose him!

I only have the white spot King British WS3 and my LFS is closed.

Do you have live plants in the tank.
What your tap nitrate reading.

The whitespot med no good.
You need a med like anti internal bacteria med by interpet.
If it filled with fluid he really needs issolating as if its bursts it can infect the tank.

I Do have a QT tank but its got a few fish in there (Glow Lights and A Bullying Bolivian Ram) I could put him in there and that way I might get a better look at him.

I've not tested the tap water yet but today is my water change day (not done it yet due to this) so I will test it right now and post the results of the Nitrate!

It's not Live planted either

oh and i'm using the API Master Test Kit!

Its just rare thats all to have a nitrate reading of 0.

Any redness to the spot.
is there anything sticking out of the spot.

The nitrate reading fine.

I would get going with a bacterial med seen as the spot is filled with fluid.

Its best to issolate if you can.
If not just add the med to the whole tank.

Corys are very prone to bacterial infections.

Right i've separated him and now I can get a real close look its not really a spot its just looks like a fuzzy bit stuck to his body like cotton I would guess. There doesn't seem to be anything else except this furry like growth but before I went into catch him I noticed for the first time he seemed to scrape himself along my big rock like it was irritating him. Looking at him it looks like when you pull the stuffing out of a stuffed bear its like a small fuzzy bit coming out of his skin.

Ok.
I would maybe add some pimafix with the bacterial med aswell.
