What are peeps planning (if anything) over the next few months with their hobby of fish-keeping!!!!

I am reducing from x5 tanks to x3 tanks as i really feel through lots of trial and error, for ME, anything over x3 tanks takes away from the pleasure of the hobby, but thats just me and my circumstances / space for tanks. If i was breeding and growing on fry it would be different.

I am losing a Rio 300 and some fish and also closing down my 2-footer Endler/Guppy growing on tank. I am selling lots of guppies/endlers and putting the most attractive one's back into my 300 litre planted community (space being made by moving on x9 Golden Barbs and a Keyhole Cichlid)

I have thinned about my Malawi tank, its a lot more "Mbuna focused" now.

I am going to slightly pack one of my Rio 300's out for a few months, maybe for the rest of the year (my Bichirs, Reed Fish and 2" Dat are moving in with my Parrots!) and i am then toward the end of the year going to really try and secure a 5x2x2 or similar in place of one of my Rio 300's (the packed one)

I am also going to invest in Polyfilter for my soon to be potentially over-stocked Rio 300 and also for my Malawi.

The reason i think i can accommodate a 5x2x2 later in the year is that 3 tanks is fine, it would swap for a Rio 300

I like to see all sides of the tanks, if i cant see the sides it bothers me (learnt from experienced) at the moment i have x3 Rio 300's side by side with about a 6" gap in between tanks, and i dont like it, need he gap to be about 12-18" if that makes sense!!! Hence i am pretty sure i can get away with a 5x2x2 and a Rio 300 down the line in my lounge.

Well both of my tanks have just been rescaped and are where I like them at the minute... however just today I purchased a new filter, light and heater for my new 4ft (75gal) that I'm getting in the very near future. My first journal will surely ensue in the pictures and/or New World forum :good:

Just rescaped my 125L over the weekend and got some new stock.

Future plans:

7 cardinal tetra (to make a nice shoal of 8 in the 125L)
1 Dwarf Neon Rainbow (to make a nice shoal of 8 in the 125L)

Possibly 2 more bronze corys (to make a nice shoal of 8 in the 125L).... hehe Although I might be at my limit for bottom dwellers in my 125L

What it is with me and the number 8 :S

Oh and getting my bettas to breed (on going battle)

new plan is a 4fter 260lt, got the pump and heater and a lump of bog woof just got to get the rest of the stuff now, can't wait!

I'm planning to change my low-tech planted hex into a high-tech one as soon as I can find the extra bit of cash for a new light & co2 system.
I'm also on the lookout for some nice platies to go in my livebearer tank.

I've got plans to re-aquascape in my 125L community tank and refresh my Dwarf Puff tank planting.

That's after I finish setting up my brackish Figure 8 puffer tank which is in progress at the moment :D

Moving house soon. Going a long long way.......................Downstairs!!!! lol We're moving from our 2nd floor flat to a much nicer one down stairs. Just got my 95ltr to move so shouldn't be too bad. We'll hopefully have the keys for over 2 weeks before we have to move from this flat so it should be quite an easy move,(fingers crossed) just have to take something down to our new flat and drop it in everytime we go out. I'll move the tank as soon as we have the new carpets down so I don't have to worry about that at the last minute.

Have recently been diagnosed with arthritis in my knee so I'm really pleased we got the groundfloor flat, no more traipsing up and down stairs with shopping or laundry!! yay!! Also I don't have to worry about my tank collapsing through the floor or leaking! I know a 95ltr is relatively light but I'm a worrier and was always thinking it was going to crash down on my neighbours' heads!!!

I'll also use the time to add new plants and aquascape it differently.

Well, currently in the process of getting my 5 gallon black water tank running. I've got the wood, the leached tannins, the 5 neons (will be 6). Now I just need to get my Ph to lower to 6.5 maximum, it's currently at 7.2, however (lucky me) all my garden centres are out of stock on peat moss until atleast march! Which means that I may have to buy blackwater extract from my LFS.

Another project of mine is a 6gallon saltwater tank, hopfully a reef. Planning on getting a nano skimmer and a hang on the back filter(10-20gallon filter). Hoping to keep some Bubble coral, a couple brains and something else. Tank stock will be 1-2 fish, a watchman goby and/or a damsel (blue or 3 lined), 10lbs of live rock, the corals, 1 cleaner shrimp, some hermits and 2 snails.

At my dad's office, once we get our big reef fully settled, we're planning on getting either a 120gallon tank (stock unknown) or a 40-50gallon planted tank.

i rearrange the aquascapes in my cichlid tanks every few weeks to help keep aggression down and that's what i was doing all day yesterday. i'm planning to replace my 4' 55 gal with a bigger 4' (like a 75 or 90 gallon) or go even bigger with a 5' in the somewhat near future. i'm just a little concerned about being in a second floor apartment.

1)Set up my 90 gallon tank. Just need the piping, got everything else.

2)Trade some community fish that I've for a long time, some since I started in order to try and breed some fish. Going to be sad in a way, but I know they will be going to good homes and will be looked after.

3)Move my oscar into a bigger tank when he needs it (already got the tank, just the oscar is too small and will probably be eaten if I put him in the big tank now).

Those are my plans for the comming weeks/months. Points 1 and 2 should be completed by friday all going well. Number 3 is a longer term project, but I expect it to me no more than 2 months at the most.
