Yesterday i noticed my flame guppy was getting pecked by my 5 four month old guppy fry and they damaged its tail. i quickly took it out and put it in a bowl with treated tap water (seachem prime) and added my air pump in there and salataped it so the end of it is at the bottom and provide surface agitation. i put in API melafix to help its tail grow so is this okay at the moment and any reason why my fry were pecking it?

well they are probably hungry and thought it was a huge flake.. try feeding the fry more

Thanks berryattack :good: i just hope it is that and should i feed the flame guppy peas as i did feed him it but he didnt look bothered but i think that was because i didnt wait for the pea to deafrost fully and i kept giving him big pieces by accident then i gave him flakes and it looked like he had it

I would ask the LFS if they would take your fry of your hands.

I would also advise that you invest in a isolate tank.
Also can be used for fry, newly bought fish, hospital tank.

I think that is the best thing as my local pets@home take them in but i was wanting to grow them to see there colour and gender and by the looks of it they all look like females after 4 months and this is the first batch of fry my guppy gave birth to and for me

OK.
Why not buy a 8 to 10 gallon tank for the fry.
I used to move my fry over to a isolation tank.
I find when fry get older they start to chase and nip the older mature fish.

I'm just wondering but should i put it back in the main tank but in a hatchery? theres no disease on it and i have to make sure the bowl its in isnt high in ammonia

It will be better to put the fish in a hatchery than a bowl.

How is the fish?

Hes tail is healing and i think he isnt eating proply but i do see him not spit out food and thanks for asking :good:

Soak his food in garlic juice to stimulate appetite, and give his immune system a boost.

What about peas?

Also one of my glowlight tetras tail is a little chipped off but i think its not that bad as when i got him it had that same problem there but it heald

I wouldn't bother soaking the peas in garlic juice. Just dried foods.

Is there any white, pink, red, fluffy edging to his tail?

There is white on the bit where it chipped off and it looks little worse as there is abit more chipped off
