Peas?

How on earth do you get a figure 8 puffer to eat a pea?? I think he is bloated as he seems so fat?? Is there anything else i can try giving him?

Never heard of an F8 actually wanting to eat peas... mind you, they eat plants so why not peas.

What's your feeding regime? What do you feed and how often? Is he pooping ok?

I know one of mine is fatter than the other purely because he's a greedy pig that chases the other away from most of the food.

The one I used to have used to get a fat tum after he had eaten then a few hours later he was all slim again. I used to love his little face

For some reason it's *tinned peas* that fish (usually) go for, rather than fresh or frozen. So do try these first. It's also down to the puffer, and in particular how hungry it is. Most fish will skip their greens if they think they're going to get some yummy bloodworms instead. So starve your puffer for 2-3 days first. Will do him no harm. THEN try the peas!

I Tend to feed him everyday with a starve day maybe twice a week. I feed him Prawns, River Shrimp, Muscel, Cockle, Blood worm and these other timy little shrimp type things.
I will feed him at night and the next day he is still fat!! I haven't seem him poo lately but i have watched him as much. Okay i will starve him for a few days n try the tinned peas!!
