I'm thinking about getting some pearlscales and some fantails... Just wondering after having read the pinned topic about having enough room for goldfish whether these smaller fancy goldfish need as much room as goldfish and comets etc?

I'm planning on getting a 340 litre/75 UK gallon (approx 90 US gallons) and was wondering if 4 pearlscales, 3 fantails and possibly a moor is pushing the limit a bit *too* much?

I know they're messy little guys and I plan on having an external filter suitable for up to 400 litres with a spray bar so as not to have too much of a current (I assume super strong currents may cause problems for them) to contend with.

Just wondering what you guys think about that stocking? Wanted to check it out before I went and got too many and killed some poor, innocent, unsuspecting fish!!

PLEASE, please, please correct me if I've made poor judgements! :good:

Its too many. I would go with 5 fancies and 2 weather loaches.

Not too keen on weather loaches to be honest, and I thought they needed to be kept in groups? What about currents and stuff for fancies, am I right in thinking they might suffer in strong currents? :S

The spray bar should be fine for them, and you want areas where the fish can sit in calm water. Filter sounds fine but i add an internal to help pick up solids and keep the water moving at the other end of the intake.
