Hope someone can shed some light on this.

I've had my Pearl gouramis (2 female, 1 male) in the same set up for around 1 year, and only recently they've started dashing about the tank, and almost jumping out of the water.

I wondered if it may be breeding behaviour, although the male and females do not seem to be interacting at all. They do not appear to be different physically, and there have been no new additions to the tank.

Any ideas or theories greatly appreciated!

Skittles. :)

Have you tested your water?
It could be Ammonia or a change in the ph.

Yep tested the water the other day, no ammonia or anything unusual.

I added CO2 to the mix about 2 months ago, so i should imagine the pH will be adjusting still, but i monitor this everyweek and there have been no big leaps or extreme changes.
The male seems now, to be ''parading'' himself and ''kissing'' one of the females on her body.
