Ok. I have 4 other "real" tanks planted and doing nothing. My little 1g betta tank with nothing but the plants, water, and fish is pearling. It has plain sand, and no lights or ferts or anything. It might as well be just a plastic bowl sitting in front of a window. It doesn't get but maybe 2 hours of actual light in the morning. Why is it pearling all day when my others with all the "stuff" are not? Can anyone explain this to me?
Thanks :good:

could be the lack of flow in the bowl allows for the oxygen to collect on the leaves while it get removed by flow in the other tanks. (?)

Thanks. :good:
I am going to turn off the filter in one of the empty tanks and see what happens with no flow. Then I will know if that is it. It now has me thinking of trying a natural aquarium (a real one) with the 10g I am fixing. This is kind of cool. :hyper:
