Hi all I have a 3 ft tank with two full grown pearl lace gourami's and to small sucking fish. i am wondering what else I can put in the tank with them that will not be to livly and annoying to them and also how many other fish I can put in the tank.

Thanks Always..

When you say sucking fish? Do you mean sucking loaches or common pleco? Google them and let us know :)

If its the sucking loach you might be okay but still need to know which ones as the commonly traded ones range between 4-12 inches in size can we get a picture at all? For now though I will take it as being a smaller growing one. I think a nice school of harlequin rasbora would look nice in there maybe 10-12 and you could get some dwarf chain loaches for the bottom. That would be a nice group of asian fish :) Cherry barbs could work as well.

Obviously you have a lot of the tetra types from South American waters and the various cory cats as well :)

I think with having the big pearls in there I would not add any more feature fish like gourami or cichlids as there may be some territory issues. And with having the 4/5inchers in there I would say stick to them.

Hi thankyou for your help. yes I have two full grown sucking loaches. One is 4cm the other is only about 2cm. I belive that is the size they will stop growing as i have had them for about a year now. ?
