nice man....

very cool..

but how did you make some plant's grow on the drift wood?

Plants grow on drift wood... :shifty:
Duno..they just grew by themselves.. is a type of moss.. grows in green tufts only on the wood..

Your guess is a good as mine..lol

And i'm a female not a male.. ;)

do you have a whole tank pic? I bet it is lovely!

Thanks guys.... he's grown into a stunning fish. amazing as his mate died within 12 hours of getting her home, and I had to nurse him back to health.. he lost all his tenticles (is that what you call them).. he just had 2 stumps it was really awfull. In a desperate attempt to save him I had some special antibiotics sent over from America at a cost of £30.. so hes been one expensive fish.. but really worth it.
Hes now pretty much boss of the Gourami clan in my 95 UK g tank.. with exception to my dwarf honey gourami... ... he bosses everyone one around that little guy does.
Jack.jpg

And her he is.. Jack.. he always greets you at the front of the glass when you go over to see what they are upto.. not a shy bone in his little fishie body bless him
tripletank.jpg

My fry tank.. currently with a few preggers female guppies and platies.. but mainly guppy/platy fry and baby bristle nose plecs from tiny to about 1"
tankwood.jpg

The main 5 ' x 2' x 18" 95 UK gallon tank.. just been ripped apart as things were all over the place.. so I thought i'd have a good clear out of old plants etc.. have all my bog wood at one end for my ever growing plec family and a nice stone fishie hendge at the other.. .. The fish seem to like it anyhow but i'll be glad when the plants fill in a bit, as as you can imagine at 5' it takes some filling.
tankrocks.jpg

I had to chop it into 2 as its hard to get a clear pic of it cos of the size.. I did miss out the boring ungrown middle bit..lol

The biggest of both is about 13cms or 5 1/4" going down to the smaller at about 11cms 4 1/2" All the gouramis are around 5" already. Plus they seem to be stil growing. How long does it take a tropical fish to reach full size? I have had them 7 months and they were clearly youngsters when I bought them.

That's a really great photograph of that gourami. I used to have one of those, but it died as things tend to do every now and then. I really like your hex fry tank assembly it looks really good. I bet your fish are really happy. :)
