Pearl Gouramis

I'm thinking about getting some for my 55g. How big do they get? Are they aggressive? How many of each sex should I get?

I just think they're beautiful.

One male and one female is best. They are peaceful but the male will get a bit territorial during bubble nest and spawning time. Otherwise, they get along with most community fish. I even have my male and female pearl with 3 female and 1 male honey gourami and they all get along great!
Mine are about 4 inches and I think are almost full grown. I love them!

Sometimes Angels are born without one or both of the pelvic fins. It is a defect, but doesn't seem to affect them in any way. Am sure it will be fine.

I had a tio of Pearls. Really nice fish.
But the male decided he didn't like my Angels. He nipped their tails. So I had to get rid of them unfortunately.
Not sure why as the gouramis weren't trying to breed.
