Pearl Gouramis

Hi,

I am thinking of getting Pearl Gouramis for my 240L tank.
Should I get 1? Or a group of say 3?
Are they difficult to sex (small at the LFS?)

I would adjust 1, pearl gouramis tend to be more aggressive in groups. In a fish shop, its hard to sex them, they are usually very small and their fins haven't developed so its hard to accurately tell its gender.

When I was looking at them at the LFS the man suggested I get 3 - 1 male & 2 females.

When I bought a trio of Pearl Gouramis 1M 2F, they got really aggressive, basically they all chased eachother and they nipped my other fish. I was fed up of the aggression so I removed 2 of the Gouramis and the remaining Gourami
wasn't aggressive anymore. But thats from my personal experience
