i'm planning to introduce 2Pearl Gouramis in my tank - -soon after my cycle

is there any tips you can advise me - -in order for them to be happy - -

My pearls where in a newly cycled tank and they don't use any hiding places. they like to move around the top alot and love peas. other from that....

My next thing is to try and breed them.....

Ok, that makes around 68 litres? That is fine for 2 pearls. Now, you can mix them with almost anything, apart from mollies as these do not seem to like gouramis for some reason.

I would add a shoal of tetras or rasboras and some cories for the bottom. Although I saw in your thread that you wanted rams? In that case I wouldn't take cories as both occupy the lower level, and rams get very agressive when breeding. And they will almost always breed if you have a pair.

some of the Fishes i have in mind to put in there in the near future:

Queen Arabesque or King Tiger Pleco - (either of the 2)
Blue Ram (i was hoping for a pair) but might stick to one male -
4-5 Cardinal Tetra or Rasboras (either Harlequin or Galaxy)

IMO Pearls will grow to big for a 60L, if you want Gouramis then why not go for 2 Dwarfs or Honeys. Or why not get Dwarf Cichilds and make a nice South American Biotype. If i were you i would have the following:

2 Dwarf Cichilds (1 male 1 female, prob be Cockatoos or Rams)
1 Pleco (IMO got to be a Bristlenose although both a Queen and Kinger Tiger will fit)
10 Cardinal Tetras

the only possible options i have is ONLINE
the nearest LFS in my place is a bit dodgy
then the proper ones are long drives -

i'm doing my fish research by searching online shops
i like the idea of having dwarf gouramis instead -

i still have days ahead of me in lookin' around
as i'm still cycling my tank - -
