Pearl Gouramis with wierd stuff on them

My male pearl gouramis has some weird markings on him.
I have two Pearls one male and one female. The female used to be smaller then the male but now she's really fat and the male seems to be smaller. There behavior hasn't changed the male still chases the female around the tank. (33 Gallon)
I started to notice a problem when my male had a white mark on his long feeler fine (not ick) so I monitored it not really sure if it was just an injury. Now he's got the same kind of white stuff on his right fin and on the body under his right fin he has some discoloration. You can only see this at the right angle from behind he looks like the scales are roughed up and from the side it’s a dark patch.
I have no clue what this is. I've treated the tank for a week with melefix and I've added the recommended amount of salt to the tank to help the slim coat. My water quality is good I tested it a week ago and everything was great.

4 red eye tetra
1 tomasai (spelling?)
2 pearl gouramis

Do you have a picture by any chance?

If it's kind of fluffy looking, it could be fungus. Firstly I'd stop adding the melafix and salt. I find this stresses fish more than necessary under these sircumstances and it's evidently not helping in this particular instance. Clean water is the best thing to offer right now. A few water changes with fresh water would deffinately be of benefit. Then, if it looks somewhat fluffy, get an anti-fungus med. Oh and, just FYI, I assume the 'tomasai' you are reffering to is anomalochromis thomasi (you never know when that might prove useful ).
