Pearl Gouramis and WCMM? (General community stocking ideas)

Medaka for the top third.
WCMMs for the middle third.
Cherry Barbs for the bottom third.

If the tanks big enough and water hard enough etc.

its also a 40 breeder, not too sure about water hardness but i’m using RODI so not very hard water

what temp would you recommend keeping the tank at then? both the WCMM’s and the Medaka’s do well below 70’s and mid to high 60’s but the cherry barbs like it warmer like 70’s-80’s right?

68-70. But mine fluctuates with the weather as it does in real life for wild fish. How hard is your water is almost as important as the temp.

I’ve no idea what the measurements of a 40 breeder are or indeed what RODI is. Reverse Osmosis D?I?
Check with your water provider to find out your water hardness as the three I listed are hard water compatible. Mine actually have to use hammers and chisels to swim around the tank.
