I have a 50 gallon tank that's been set up for 8 months. Last night I did a 40% water change, and then today he's hiding in the corner! He's the proud king of the tank one day, and the next I have to put food in the corner for him, because he won't come out to get any
. I went to work before the lights came on this morning, so i don't know when this started.
Tank mates: Platies, harlequin rasboras, cories, and 3 threadfin rainbows. I've had them all for at least 4 months, except for the rainbows, which i got 2-3 weeks ago. I don't think that any of those are being aggressive.
My Pearl looks fine, no clamped fins, fingus, or ick. he just looks more timid than usual--he usually patrols the tank and keeps everyone in line.
I haven't checked my water stats since i did the water change, but i'll be off to do that in a minute. If i don't come back and contradict it, ammonia and nitrate are always 0, pH runs about 7.4-7.6, and nitrate 10-20. I'm not entirely sire where the nitrAte will fall, since i pulled a lot of messy water out last night.
I hope you guys have some wisdom for me! I love my gourami, and i don't want him to die
. Let me know if there's more info you need.
