Would guppies make reasonable tankmates for a Pearl Gourami? Or do they share the same space too much? My tank isn't huge - 32" long, 20g. I don't think I would have room for 3 Gourami - will a male be OK on his own? ( I understand a pair is a no-no)

Thank you for any words of wisdom :)

 Thank you again, Corin. As you can probably tell, I'm doing a lot of thinking along the lines of "Well if I have x and y does that mean z is out?"

Yes guppies are fine with pearl gouramies - I keep young males with my three. They get chased a bit at feeding time but don't seem to mind and for the rest of the day they all get along fine.

I think it's fine to keep one male pearl as well. :good:

Yes to all of your questions. Guppy fry, on the other hand, may not even be seen with a pearl in there, unless you have a breeder net or something similar.

Thank you all very much - your replies have been extremely helpful :good:
