Hello everyone,
I am new to this forum and joined because I want to be part of a fish-loving community and unfortunately because my assorted peacock is sick. I have a new tank that has been in use for 2 months now and just about 4 days ago I noticed a chuck missing from the right side of my peacock. It is almost like he got bitten from another tank mate. Over the course of a few days, there is a fluffy white fungus-like infection spreading pretty rapidly. I purchased API fungus care, and have been treating my my tank according to the recommended doses. I am on my 2 day of treatment and there has not been progress. I don't know what to do. I take pride in my fish and never give up on them. any suggestion as to what this disease could be? symptoms: isolation, open sore, fluffy hair-like growths on open sore and spreading.

How big is the tank and exactly what fish, and how many, are in it?

Have you tested the water at all; especially for ammonia/nitrite?
