CT i think what your doing is lovely, rescues rule!! And i want to start up a rescue tank myself.

I want to encourage anyone who is able to pick him up to get him he really is a stunner! And posting is a trickey buisness and stressfull for the fish but it can be done as a last resort.

I agree rescuing is fab I have done it myself on many occasions but I always ensure that I have sufficient space for the fish in question and also I keep them for the remainder of their lives!! what happens if she doesn't manage to sell the rescue does it live in a breeding box forever?? to me that is cruel!

Well Im going to try and get another 3G tank and see if I could set this up and I have been for a while. This I was unable to sell the fish then no I wouldnt keep it in a breeding box for all its life because I too believe this isnt fair on the fish. Its alright when its short times at the time but not for ever. I would give it to a LFS I trust like DP Fishways etc

Deffinately keep him if you can CT you've worked very hard for him and deserve him.

See you agree with what I am saying!! I am not jumping down your throat to be nasty its just I worry people think a breeding trap is an ideal home for a betta full time!! I 2 cannot put tanks up whereever i choose even in my own home! however I feel strongly that appropriate accomadation should always be avaliable!! I think if you rehome to a reputable LFS then that is fine!! however you may get shot for mentioning DP fishways as from what I have seen that isn't allowed!!

Yes I do agree with you but at the moment Forest is taking him as no one else will.

Also I dont see why Im not able to mention a name of a shop that I trust just because one of the owners of that shop got banned
