parrots/cichlids

Ok yeah ive have a few larger sized older mbuna, and the majority are a few weeks out of the pet store and rather small. I think im gonna stick to Mbuna for now but ive always wanted to give parrots and or oscars a try

For future reference Soaup, oscars really shouldn't be kept in anything smaller than 75 gallons (ESPECIALLY if you want them to have tankmates)

i kept 2 small oscars in a 75g with 3 parrot cichlids...

the oscars were like 2-3 inches, and the parrots were about 2-3 inches also..

the 2 inch oscar got ripped to shreads within a week...

i moved the 3 inch oscar into a tank with little 1 inch parrots, and 1 2 inch parrot, along with a bunch of fruit tetra, and it died overnight..

i think oscars should be kept by themselves

Ok, I have to ask... if it's not workin' for ya, why do you keep doing it? :|

i think ive got it under control right now..

ive got the 75g with lots of cichlids in it, but i think its a comfortable number.. nobody fights and everythings been fine..

the 48g has been a disaster... too many fish in it.. have sorted that out.. havent bought fish for that tank in a long time.. i plan on moving around the fish in it to make room for larger cichlids..

also have a 55g tank that isnt overstocked.. couple convicts, couple jewel cichlids, a parrot, and a lil red devil..

im TRYING not to buy new fish.. unless it something rare that i cant live without (like the jellybeans i bought today)

i think ive got everything under control..

i do wonder what will happen in 5 years... that is if all the fish are still around then..

i think im under control now :D
