Parasite On Snail?

I bought a ramshorn snail 3 weeks ago and noticed it had small white lines on it's body but I thought that was just a pattern on the skin, it seems that these were some type of worm as since then they have multipled, moved to it's head and now sit around the back of it's mouth area. They sucker onto the glass as the snail moves and make it look like it has a beard of worms, it's gross!

I've got a few good pictures and I would like to know what these things are and if they will harm the snail or spread to other snails or possibly other fish in the tank. If anyone knows how to treat these guys that would be great! Thanks so much.
