Well, just set up a photobucket account at last and testing.

1st photo is my Parachanna Africana (african snakehead), you don't see many of these around, hope you enjoy the photo.

He is an absolutely stunning fish, also has lots of character.

That's very nice, am i correct in thinking it is found in southern Nigeria?

From what i can see it seems to have fantastic markings. :good:
 
Thats a nice looking fish but im going to have to agree in that you should take some more pics. :)
 
Well as you can see, he is pretty young at the moment and very shy, I will get some more over the next couple of days. you wont be disappointed in his markings :) Watch this space.....
 
I had seen a group of these on TFF and was really interested, but due to buying a new house, and getting ready to move early next year i really didnt want to start a new tank :(

Yeah i remember, i got a few but this is the only one to survive, i was initially hoping to breed them, but he is beautiful so i'm keeping him as a single specimen :)
 
these Guys are so coool I miss my Asciata's they were like puppies and have such an interesting personalities.
 
are these the ones that are on snakeheads forum with some great pics showing the full side profile? dark with yellow marks on side?

I think the ones you mean are the Channa Aurantimaculata, which are a fantastically stunning fish.These are striking in a different less colourful way, I will be posting the new photos i take of these Africana's on Snakeheadsuk also :) In fact if you go over there you will see many more photos of my Parachanna's and Channa's that i keep. I am slowly going to put them up on this forum as i get time :)
