Hi all, will be as brief as possible... got a community tank as per below, and after getting a good group of small fishes, we would like either one large, or a pair of fairly large colourful, peaceful fish to be tank centrepieces.

48 x 15 x 16
Tank is 24/25 degrees
150-200 g/hour in tank filters
small rounded pebble substrate
PH 6,8-7,4
tmperature is 24/25 degrees
Hardness is normally 7

Currently stocked; 6 longfin zebra danios, 8 rummynose tetra, 6 peppered cory, 10 platys, 1 bristlenose plec and 1 albine bristlenose plec.

Thanks for any suggestions...

Matt

keyhole cichlids or bolivan ram cichlids are peaceful

50 gallon tank lots of small fish so you dont want anything too predatory, I agree with the above but you could also consider angel fish, festivums, maybe blue acara or similar acara species ie size and temperment...

Blue acara are very docile if mine are anything to go by would be a good choice, could possibly get away with Ellioti too.

thanks all.. ive been told the blue rams need warmer water??

wil get on google images and see what i can find!

german (blue) rams are great looking fish, as well as bolivian rams which are more hardy.

Look up electric blue rams (related to german ram) they are amazing
