I've bought 2 glass catfish and I like their plainess and how you can see all their insides. I wouldn't ever buy painted fish either and I support any boycott of stores that support cruelty to animals.

There should definately be a pin-up about this for newbies. I only found out about it on this site having read loads of posts but if I hadn't been looking I may have gone out and unwittingly put my money into the pockets of animal abusers.

People should be made aware so they can make an informed choice when purchasing these fish. Havingsaidthat, it wouldn't be the first time an LFS has lied to sell a fish. Maybe the post should inlcude what to look for in a painted fish despite what an LFS employee might say.

Good suggestion I nearly bought a parrot fish when i first started thinking it was one of natures colour schemes. weird wot you think when you see neons etc

hey cfc thats his opinion you shouldent ban someone because of there honest oppinion he thinks its rigth you think its wrong its more interesting in a forum were people debate over things instead of abnning everyone that the moderators dont agree with so theres no debating going on whatsoever

Why should it he was not offensive wiv it thought debate and pooling ideas was the goal of the forum, but then again if he meant it to offend i agree, but i do not think it is the case

"Tight" is usually a slang term used to describe something that is good or "cool", though i spose regionally there may be differences if this is the case then i apologise, though editing your post to a more suitable word might be a good idea.

Lke i said no one has been banned but when several of your first few posts are argumentative and then you accidently say you think dyed fish are cool its going to arrouse suspisions.
