Overstocked?

hello there,

posted this thread in the main pages but with not much luck!

the tank is 260l and houses following:

1 platy
1 red tailed shark
1 bristlenose plec
1 opaline gourami
1 honey gourami
10 neon tetra
10 lemon tetra
6 pristella tetra
6 harlquin rasboras

everyone is very happy but the tank looks like it could house more.... is possible and any suggestions?

no IMO your not overstocked,
if you use the very basic guideline of 1 inch per gallon to give you an idea of the current stocking levels, you can then judge how many more would fill the tank according to the guideline and then depending on filtration and maintenance regime you could look to increasing the stocking further,

1 platy 1.5"
1 red tailed shark 5"
1 bristlenose plec 4"
1 opaline gourami 5"
1 honey gourami 1"
10 neon tetra 10"
10 lemon tetra 15"
6 pristella tetra 9"
6 harlquin rasboras 9"

= 59.5 inches in a 68.7Gallon tank
(calculations were done very roughly by the way,)
