droped a bottle of calcium in my new aquarium that is going to be my frag tank nothing is in it yet apart from 200gal of ro and salt what should i do

How bad is the Ca reading? If it's off the chart high, I'd do a big waterchange, but that may not be that likely/needed. All the Ca suppliments that I have come across in liquid form are actually fairly weak and hence it may not be a problem, especially if your Salt brand is lacking Ca and you are talking about a 200g volume...

All the best

Similar to what rabbut said, since you didn't say how much Ca you dumped in, it would be worth getting a Ca test kit if you don't already have one if you don't want to change out the whole lot of water. The test kit reading and a few concentration calculations would tell you how much to change out to get the Ca within a reasonable range if it's out of whack.

Agreed, tests are in order. Please tell me you removed the bottle?

You can use sodium bicarbonate to precipitate the excess calcium out of the water, it may be cheaper than water changes??!!

it shouldn't be a problem because seawater can only hold a certain amount of calcium. Any more and it just doesn't mix into the water. I think the max is about 470ppm of calcium and above that it turns to mud :)
But if your concerned just do a 50-75% water change and that will dilute it.

........I think the max is about 470ppm of calcium and above that it turns to mud :)

I think it must be much higher than that as I accidently overdosed my tank and had a level of 690ppm for several months. It had no ill effects but did cause a snowstorm every time I dosed alkalinity!! Incidently my LPS corals loved it and grew like mad not that I'm suggesting this to encourage coral growth it's just an observation .
