clown loaches can get very big, but they take a long time to grow. most people who have them will tell you that they've only grown a little bit each year. but if you put clowns in smaller tanks, you risk stunting their growth. I would have loved to put 3 clown loaches in my 32gal, but was afraid that they would grow quickly and have stunted growth :(

heh... here's one of those one foot clown loaches Basil :D Basil looks so funny, i can't help but laugh :D hez huge.. but not as cute looking as the other smaller ones :p

overstocking tanks is ok depending what you do. i think filtration and the spaces that the fish swim in are the most important. otos for example, are small and don't produce too much waste. plus they help keep the tank clean.
