Hi, i have just bought a 6 and a half foot x 3 x 2 tank which came with the following fish

4 silver sharks,1 albino shark,2small clown loach, 2 big clown loach, tiger loach, 3 angel fish, royal plec,2 albino plec, golden nugget plec, 3 common plec, 6 adult kribensis, 5 babie kribensis, 5 bronze coraorays, 3 pepperd coradoray, banjoy catfish, 5 zebra daino,s 4glow light tetras a black phantom, 2 siamese flyin fox, torpedo barb, 3 greater scissor tailos, 2 white tip tail tetras, 3 silva dollars, 2 albino barbs, green barb, 3 tiger barbs, 2 cherry barbs, 2 parrot fish, 1 red spotted severum, 2 dwarf gouramis, 2 polypterus, 1 african knife fish, 1 black ghost knife fish, 1 rainbow fish, 1 golden gourami, 1 apisto

Im guessing the tank is going to be majorly overstocked, how many would i need to get rid of. Im already planning on getting rid of the african knife fish because he doesnt get on with the bgkf, and was going to get rid of the common plecs. How many more would need to go

WOW!! amazing tank size your at about 250 gallons with that thing!!

Agreed with getting rid of the common plecs, I would also get rid of the alibno plecs but thats just me they are just albino commons really. Also if it was me I would re home all the small schools and make up a larger school of one of the larger schooling fish like the torpedo barbs, I think the smaller schooling fish's numbers will be getting damaged by the larger fish hense why I would stick with the larger schoolers. Personally I dont like parrot fish so I would scrap them. With the albino shark - is that an albino silver shark (bala shark) or somthing different?

I think if it was my tank I would be looking at the stocking from there to be

1 red spotted severum, 1 BGK, 4 clown loaches, 3 angel fish, royal plec, golden nugget plec, 5-7 torpedo barbs, 2 polypterus, 2 flying fox (2 should be fine in this tank) - but at this point i get stuck deciding if I would keep the kribs and cories I think I would up the cories and cut down the number of kribs, if you have young kribs you must have at least 1 pair so look of for the pairs and see how they work together maybe. - Then possibly keep the bala sharks as well?

Hope thats helped and if anyone wants to correct me on anything please do

Thanks Wills

PS pics please ;)

I agree, but i'd keep the silver dollars instead. There aren't many things prettier than a school of silver dollars. And you have the room for it!

Hi, are you looking to go relatively peaceful or semi-aggressive?

For example in the current setup the polypterus, (-i'm assuming bichirs not reedfish?) will soon see the majority of the other occupants as food and many will be eaten.

Therefore it depends what your opinion is of the bichirs? if you keep them, then a lot of the smaller fish have to go

and onece the others are rehomed i'd say the stocking would look something like this

4 silver sharks,
1 albino shark,
2small clown loach, 2 big clown loach,
3 angel fish,
royal plec,
1 albino plec
golden nugget plec,
6 adult kribensis,
2 siamese flyin fox,
torpedo barb,
3 silver dollars,
2 parrot fish,
1 red spotted severum,
2 polypterus,
1 black ghost knife fish,
1 rainbow fish,
1 golden gourami,

Do you have any other ideas on fish to add to the setup?
