Over Priced?

About an hour ago I decided to get some albino cories for my 25g. The only shop oen at this hour is Pete's Pets. I asked " How much are the little albino cories"?
He responds, "$3.99". I walked out when he wasn't looking. WOW 4 bucks for a single cory the size of a smokey joe sausage. If you don't know what a smokey joe is its a coctail weiner about this big _______.

Think thats a weeee bit over priced? lol

Hmm, yeah that's a little steep for albinos, usually they're cheaper since they are more common. However, they're sold for that much at a store around here. I guess whatever people will pay. If you wanna hear a really crazy amount, it's 12 bucks for panda cories at Petco!!

Petsmart sells them for about 3... You should look for a better place to get your stuff.

the store that i wanted to goto was closed. Theirs are around 1.50 to 1.80

Not outrageously high but it is a little higher then normal for the common ones.

lol around here thats an insaine price. Even a juvinile oscar costs less than what that guys trying to sell his cories for. (thse juviniles are around 3.50) He also had the biggest corries i have ever seen. They must have been like the size of a dwarf guarami

Where in Chicago are these low-priced fish you speak of? All the lfs around here are rather expensive and I'm considering going to Chicago on a day when I don't have school and do some shopping.

hey your about an hour or 30 min away! The shop is in Plano on Rout 34. It's by the drivers lisensing place. literely by it, its the same building lol. Just don't complane if you see anything wrong in there for instance their feeder tank. I think theres around 800 feeder gold's in a 100g tank. Theres also ghost shrimp in the corner by the managers office. OH! I want to get a 100g tank and buy the oscar pair they have there. 60 bucks for 2 full grown oscars about 2 ft long. poor things have been in a 55-65g tank for over a year now.

but i finally talked them into not selling anymore dyed fish.only orange and red parrots and clear glassfish
