Over Due Platy

My platy is 7 days over due she is still very fat so i know she hasn't given birth. In the evenings she blows up even more and looks like she is gonna give birth, but when i look in the mornings she has slimmed down a bit but there is no fry. Why is this happening?

she might have had the fry and they have been eaten or are just hiding

i thought that but its the way she is still fat and blowing up in the evening im really confused

Is she eating? Any other behavior/physical changes of note? Have you tested your water?

she ate wednesday evening they are due a feed tonight she is acting normal. The water is fine its all been tested plus im doing a 10% water change in my 30 litre everyday at the mo because ive got bad algae.

I would keep an eye on your platy. How did you decide that she is overdue? The typical gestation for a molly is 4 weeks but mine takes 6 weeks between drops so she must not start developing the next batch of fry until about 2 weeks after a drop. Could you be seeing something similar in your platy?

she had her first lots of fry on the 30th of june i was told on here that its every 4 weeks. i dont have a clue im new to all of this

mmhumm um i would say if she is still bloated that she is going to give birth again,she could have started her gestation period later than normal,is she fully grown?

my platys normaly take about 1 and a half months so i wouldnt worry
