Over Crowding

Hello, I am new to aquarium-ing. I currently have a five gallon tank with three male guppies in it. I was wondering if anyone knows if it will be alright to add maybe like 4/5 minnows (because minnows are tiny) to fill up my tank more. It just seems like a lot of space for three fish but I don't want to over crowd it (because I know that stresses the fish out and then they die ). So if anyone has any answers then I'll listen.

Your tank is stocked as it is, minnows might be small but they are very active & need swimming space.
You could add some cherry shrimp they won't add much to the bioload & are fun to watch

That or add some decor for the guppies to swim around. 5 gallons isn't a lot and won't allow much of a bio load. They are designed for desks and bettas.
