Do otos eat brown algae? major problem atm, trying to sort out the problem with less light and food

(yes i already checked into their requirements, yes their will be a group, yes i will feed them green matter/algae tablets not just let them find there own food)

thanks might get some tomorrow ^^ but this possibly more then the diatoms/different type of algae, it coats my plants quite thickly and i then have to cut the leaves off before they rot, maybe its just a servire case (sp)

also what damage would a bristle nose do to pest snails? anything?

A couple of ottos will sort out brown algea in no time, i have three in a 50 gallon and have no brown algea anywhere :good:

ottos = no brown algae :D , the back wall of my tank was covered in it when i added the ottos, byt the morning it was all gone :D

I bought a couple of ottos for my 24ukg planted tank yesterday and they have eaten all the brown algae in 1 night :)

Absolutley no damage at all.

For snail killing you need one of the botia (loach) species, which one depends on your tank and other occupants.
