Has anyone ever seen an oto with a golden head? I bought him six weeks ago, with three others, and he has grown rapidly: now a good two inches. He has the grey and silver stripe like an otto but has developed with this strangely coloured head. Any help identifying him will be appreciated.

If its grown quickly to 2 inches i dont think its an oto, its sounds like a chinese algae eater to me. Post a photo, someone will tell you what it is straight away, i'm sure.

There is a golden otto but it still only grows to 2 inches and not real fast like you said. http/www.theaquarians.net/html/fishguide...;nl=10&nt=3
I couldn't find anything else that it might be. Try to find a pic of it on the net if you can't get your own pic.
