what food do you feed your other fish in the tank

I am going to go with food aswell. After I feed mine sweetcorn, my JD has bright yellow poo for a day or two.

Sounds like camallanus worm. Treat with a strong internal parasite med (suitable for otos).

cant get that for at least a few days. is it fatal? will the other fish catch it?

If it is camallanus worm it's very infectious so it's most likely all the other fish either have it or will get it sooner or later. It is also fatal if not treated early. You need a medication called levamisole and that can be hard to obtain depending where you are in the world.

Be sure it is camallanus though. It will eventually hang out of the anus and is a red/brown thin worm and there may be more than one.
