other tangs for a 10

apart from shellies, what tangs can be kept in a 10 gallon, or even a 5.5 gallon?

How bout a betta for that 5.5, they've got character when not stuffed into a cup. There is no cichlid you can do in a tank that small. For the 10 shell dwellers are it.

my lfs barley has shellies, and if they do they are so expensive, 19.99 for 1 multie! its rediculous.

ClustersBabyMama- actually that is not true. Rams can go into 10 gallons. So can shell dwellers, they can also go into 5 gallons for a pair because they dont go that far from their shell

I don't mean to be rude, so don't take it that way...

But if you don't like the fish that can live out a happy existence in a 10 or 5.5 gallon tank, then maybe you shouldn't get anything in them.

However, maybe a pair of multies (the smallest and most communal/least hostile shellie) would be happy in there. I'm not 100% though.

Maybe some small tetras?

and i know all about multies, youy can have more that 1 pair in there, as they are colony fish
