Oscars In New Tank

hi all ive just bought a 140 liter tank off ebay it comes with the fish but it has 2 oscars 2 red tailed black sharks 2 danios a zebra loach and an albino frog! Just couldnt believe someone would put them all in together in such as small space!! I was thinking of a larger fish for this setup (to replace the current) but what would be suitable?

take them to the lfs and trade them in for something for my new tank!

140l? Blimey, I wouldnt trade them in for more large fish atall, think small perhaps bump up your number of danios to 8 or so and go from there.

im trading in all of the current ones i would like a single largeish fish but they all require more water than ive got! is what i meant! and ideas for a suitable largeish fish for a 140l would be nice! maybe an oddball?

snakeheads is one option , come in all sizes

oh and i think theres a pirana (spellings off i know..) that lives happily by itself that might fit in there, cannot remeber the name of the species unfortuantly

to be honest i dont know anything about snakeheads! I wouldnt know where to start or where to get them!!

in the predatory sections theres a fair bit about them, they vary in price and availabilty. Most decent shops should be able to get them for you. Wildwoods has someonline, BAS has some. Or if you see anything you really want you can ask on here see if someone has any.
I've got Channa Orientalis and theyre great, grow to about 4-5 inch , they live happily in a 40gal but tbh could live in smaller accomadation. They're easy to look after fish , if in a species tank do the water change monthly , don;t need high light just some good filteration and theyre happy. I can't remeber when i last did my water change on mine be a wile now .

Theres things like puffer fish as well which can probs go in there. most are brackish i think but some are full tropical.

Best thing to do is browse the net , see what you like then come back here and we'll advise on it.
