now that i have your attention

I dont really know where to begin because my LFS doesnt display the real name of the fish. You might get a dwarf cichlid or something but it says assorted afrain cichlids.....so i am not sure waht to start with.

I have a 29 gallon tank. Its planted a lot i would say...and it has a lot of hiding spots.

I wanted Cichlids but no pet store that i would trust carries them near me

I wanted active fish that would interact with me! Like an oscar. Would an Oscar be ok in a tank like mine for a few months, its all cycled and stuff?

Please help me

I am in fact getting a bigger tank when I move out in January. Probably a 75-100gal

uum, if you want an O, wait for the bigger tank, assorted african's are awful - usually hybrids e.t.c.

well i need some help on some good interactive fish to get.......

angelfish? a pair of them?

What are my stocking options

you dont really have many options for a 10 gallon tank....

a pair of convicts

I'll second this one. I bought 2 pair for my 40 gallon. They haven't bred yet, but....they are very neat fish to watch and interact with. I spend a few minutes with them every day, and they seem to recognize me at this point. :)

wheni worked in my LFS, when most of thecihlids had been bought, they shifted the ones left over into one tank to make room for more stock. they're generally not hybrids, and also your LFS should be able to tell you information about particular fish.
