I have a silcoin substrate and a lot of Deco that covers most of the ground. In a 50 gallon breeder tank with 1 small green terror and 2 young convicts. The Oscar is about 2 inches right now. Will he fit in it later on in Life? ( i am not plannling on adding any more fish.)

one should be fine in a 50 gallon. IF your panning to get more then you'll need a much bigger tank.

nope, a fully grown oscar needs 75gals as a minimum, and that's by himself with no other companions. he'll need a bigger tank than the 50gal by the time he's 1 year old.

also the GT and convicts may not be the best choice of companions, when they are mature the GT will probably beat up the oscar, and if the con's start breeding they will too.

when I got my oscars they were about 2" long and 4 months later they were over 6" and still growing....they need alot of room and the 50 won't be good for too long.
