hi,
i went to my lfs and i was so certain i saw these oscars called "marble oscars"
has anybody else seen or herd of them. i have been trying to research the fish as i am very keen to keep them. Thankyou if you know anything about these fish it would be appreciated if you share it with me.
Jake

Hi,
ohh okay but they were a really shiny silver. i think they may be common oscars but maslabelled like you said maybe ?

you can get shiny silver and gold coloured oscars now. probably one of them, icant see what the fasination is with so many diferent colours of the same fish, if you try to interbreed the colours the babies will only look horrible.

I have a tiger oscar, and it had been in my tank for just over 1 month. Since I got him his orange colouration has slowly been disappearing. Now it has got to the point of him having hardly any orange at all. This might have been what you saw, but has this happened to anybody else on this forum? My oscar seems perfectly healthy but his colour is going.

Their colors can change quite drastically as they mature, I had one lose most all of its orange as it grew up, and all of the other tiger ones that I have had have ended up with different markings from when they were babies to when they were adults.

Hi,
Thanks for the replies, I have just read a recent topic and found that oscars can be silver and black when small but do get darker within months.
Very interesting how they do this ! :D
