Hi all,

Just a question to see if anyone has seen any different Oscars to the following. I've seen:

- Tiger Oscar
- Red Oscar
- Albino Oscar
- Snakeskin Oscar

Anyone seen any others and info on source?

Thanks,
Paul.

Veil Tail, the only one ive personally seen other then the ones you listed

There is an albino red and an albino red tiger... slightly different and you only mentioned 'albino'.

The weird colors (blue purple etc) are not natural.

I've only really noticed one type of Albino (they look the same to me) which is why I labelled them as purely an 'Albino'. Some tend to have more orange in them though.

I've never in my life heard of a snakeskin oscar. There are also Common Oscars, also known as Zebra Oscars, or Wild Oscars.

Oh yeah, that is also another "a.k.a" of the common oscar. They are known as so MANY different aliases.... :S

I don't know wether or not a "snakeskin" is another name for a common Oscar but I can describe to you what they look like. I've only ever seen them twice in one lfs in Stirling. They were labelled as 'snakeskin' because both sides of them have a snake looking pattern..kind of like a leopard.

I've never seen any adult ones mind you. These were all 2inch babies.

I'll get some pictures for you guys as soon as I can ;)

Would you consider the natural common oscar to be the same as the marbled oscar? The common oscar I have has the natural black, grey and orange stripes but the marbled that I have seen have no orange to them.
