Oscar Tail

recently bought an oscar

when i got him home, he had a slightly more pale section on the back of his tail...maybe damaged in transport? anyway this has now gone completey, leaving a small chunk out of his tail that i hope will grow back.

I am now concerned that an almost perfect circle of very slightly darker patch has appeared around the tail loss, is this normal? i mean could it be brusing or something similar?

- should mention that there are no signs of any fungus or anything like that.

The bad sign would have been if this "cut away" section was edged in white...... No I think it's just a gathering of the natural internal bacteria fighting soldiers... The chip will soon be healed.
