Oscar Hith Or Collision Damage?

I woke up this morning and as I was going to feed my Oscar I found that it had a big white spot on it's head! I've read about HITH and minus the hole he doesnt seem to be showing any other symptoms...he's still very active and feeds like he's starved (not that I starve my oscar, he just likes food =D ). It might also be collision damage but I can't tell =/

Looks like Hole in the Head to me. I just had an Oscar finally succumb to it myself. My fault, I let the water conditions in the tank degrade and I couldn't bring him back.

If it happened overnight it is damage, I had to pull all the nice looking driftwood out of my oscar tank due to him being a clumsy oaf. He still gets the occasional bash or scrape from spitting gravel at the plec, and the plec giving a little payback. That front line on the injury looks to defined, hith tends to be more rounded.

Keep up on the water changes, make sure he is eating a good vitamin enriched pellet, this will keep any hith problems away.
