Hi everyone,

So I found some old plastic ruined buildings from one of my previous hobbies (warhammer 40k if interested) and had a thought to use them in my aquarium.

Most of them are unpainted but were constructed with either plastic glue or super glue.

As the glue is set and has been for donkeys do you guys think it should pose a problem to my community?

Also the ones that have been painted very slightly... What about those?

Thanks in advance

Super glue is safe in aquaria; I don't know about the other type. What kind of paint is it?

Are we to presume you mean plastic cement? I am not 100% sure but i would not want to risk that stuff in aquariums. By building models myself i know that stuff is pretty nasty.

It would have been this kind of paint and glue:

Citadel is some pretty potent stuff if i remember correctly.

Boo :(

What a shame, I think the ruins would look good in my tank too!

How could I go about sealing them?

100% silicone would obviously be used but that stuff is thick as hell!

If you have some maybe that modelling stuff that seals in paint and pigment? Not sure if it would work though.

I'm not sure of what you mean.

But would that stuff be aquarium safe?

No idea if it would be aquarium safe, but it would make sense if it was seeing how it's pretty much designed to form a barrier. I have some for building models, it stops any weathering and paint being smudged and removed.

Ok I'll have a look. Could you point me in some direction do you think?

Not 100% sure what to type into google lol
