Ordering plants from greenline

I have ordered my plants from Greenline for over a year now. I have never been dissapointed with them. The best thing about Greenline is if you start to get a problem, you can drop them an email, or give them a buzz, and the answer is at hand.

An answer to you light problem could be a T5 compact fitment bulb, plenty of watts for your money, and as the name suggests, compact.

Mine out of the tap was pH 8.4, and to test for hardness, you cut a piece off!

That sounds more like Hampshire than Surrey

I lived in Hampshire, yes. Although the Surrey border was 5 minutes drive, as was the Berkshire border.

The stuff that came out of the tap was absolutely awful if, like me, you were a cyprinids and characins type, a breeder. A simple cheap one stage RO knocking out 90% TDS still left water that was to hard to use for breeding certain species.

I think it was "Mid Southern Water" - they had some research labs in Frimley which were quite interesting.

I lived in Slough, Berks and the water there was hard (sure it was over pH 8). Now I'm near Guildford. When I went to uni there we used to get powercuts all the time. Thankfully where I live now we don't suffer from them. At least not yet
